The State Fair of West Virginia and Lewisburg Rotary are happy to announce the first-ever West Virginia Craft Brew Festival on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg, WV. Featuring West Virginia Craft Breweries, a food truck rodeo and all day music, this event will also have special workshops on beer and food pairings, home brew and the importance of agriculture in the brewing process.
The goal of this event is to raise funds for the State Fair of WV and Lewisburg Rotary Endowment Funds to support scholarships in our area and across the state. All funds, minus expense, will be split between to the foundations.
State Fair of West Virginia
The State Fair of West Virginia is a 501c3 Non-Profit with a mission “to produce a quality fair, committed to the traditions of agriculture, family entertainment and education; and to develop non-fair events that utilize the existing facilities, that create opportunities for growth, and that benefit the community served by the facility.”
In 2009, the State Fair of West Virginia created an endowment fund to support three key areas of the fair: scholarships, agriculture education, and premiums. Each year the State Fair awards five, four year scholarships for the amount of $1000 for each of the four years.
