5. Livestock Shows
With our Tractor Supply Small Stock Arena and Southern States Large Stock Arena, the State Fair has the best livestock shows in town. Llamas, pigs, sheep, cows, horses, and even rabbits! 6. Free Entertainment
With paid admission, we offer several different free entertainments to keep all families on their toes! Performing daily, we have Tiger Encounters, Catherine Hickland comedic hypnotist, Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, Extreme Raptors, the Rowdy Rooster teaching about farm to plate, and Danny Grant performing family fun. Our “Moo U” tours are a fun, interactive way to show the public our many animals at the State Fair. Performances on our Sprint Center Stage, the 4th Annual Car Show, Dairy Birthing Center, West Virginia Building competitions (fruits, vegetables, baked goods, quilts, etc.) the Heritage Village, Farm-to-Food Pavilion and more are all a part of the State Fair free entertainment.

7. Heritage Village
Home to our Master Gardener’s Demonstration Garden and WVU Extension High Tunnel Greenhouse this is a gardener’s paradise. The T.A.H.O.E. farm club antique tractors and the 4-H Council Circle round out this quiet corner of the fair.

8. Harness Racing
Grab your family and cheer on your favorite horse all the way to the finish with our four days of exhilarating races!



9. Agriculture Education
Farm to Food Pavilion- Teach your children the basics of agriculture in a fun way! The Farm to Food Pavilion is designed for children K-5 with unique activities to teach and promote agriculture.
Dairy Birthing Center- An incredible event for the entire family! The anticipation of calves being born combined with the real life experience of birth makes this attraction one that you won’t want to miss.

10. Shopping
With affordable merchandise and prizes throughout, you can take home several different keepsakes from the State Fair. We also offer shopping under the Grandstand including: handmade jewelry, art, western wear, homemade fudge, and plenty more! Farm equipment, housing goods and other products can be found on grounds. There’s something for everyone!
