LEWISBURG, WV (06/06/2012)(readMedia)– Be the first to make memories at the State Fair’s third Annual Fun First Fundraiser which supports the State Fair Endowment and youth scholarships. Fun First means you are among the first to experience the excitement of the Carnival Midway and fair food!
The casual event is scheduled for Thursday, August 9 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Carnival Midway. For each $50 donation, donors will receive a ride wristband and have access to a variety of fair foods and drinks. THE FIRST FIFTY DONATIONS WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL FUN FIRST T-SHIRT! (Event is limited to 250 participants).
If you wish to support the State Fair Endowment and the scholarship program but are not interested in carnival rides, you can donate your wristband to one of our three partner agencies: Children’s Home Society, Family Refuge Center or Davis Stuart. The agency will select a child to enjoy the rides. To donate your carnival ride wristband, we will need your Fun First donation by August 1st, 2012. Fun First Tickets can be purchased in the State Fair Administration office Monday through Friday or on the day of the event until 5 p.m.

The State Fair of West Virginia is a 501 © 3 nonprofit corporation whose mission is to produce a quality fair committed to the traditions of agriculture, family entertainment, and education, and to develop non-fair events that utilize the existing facilities that create opportunities for growth , and that benefit the community served by our facility.
