State Fair of West Virginia Launches Interactive Fair Schedule

LEWISBURG, WV (07/12/2012)(readMedia)– The State Fair of West Virginia today launched an interactive fair schedule that provides attendees with special “fair finds”, in addition to the ability to easily plan their visit and share entertainment options with family and friends. The interactive schedule is available on the State Fair of West Virginia’s website, www.statefairofwv.com.

The “fair finds” will include special promotions and discounts on food, rides, and entertainment. The catch? Attendees can learn about these promotions only by accessing the interactive schedule. The “fair finds” will be posted a few days before the fair, so attendees can share their personal schedule with friends. The schedule can also be easily accessed with a mobile phone or tablet.

“We are excited to launch an interactive schedule for the first time this year,” said Marlene Pierson-Jolliffe, CEO of the State Fair of West Virginia. “Our mission is to produce a quality fair committed to the traditions of agriculture, family entertainment, and education. This interactive schedule will allow us to reach more people in an engaging and fun way.”

The State Fair of West Virginia worked closely on this initiative with Etix, a leading online and box office ticketing solution. The interactive schedule initiative is being coordinated by Etix Connect, Etix’s digital marketing team.

The 88th annual State Fair of West Virginia will take place on August 10-18, 2012.
