2018 1st West Virginia Made Collector Basket & 1st WV Edition Print

LEWISBURG, WV (08/13/2018) (readMedia)– The Annual Collector Baskets are back! We have continued the tradition of handmade baskets, now West Virginia made. The 2018 baskets commemorating the 94th annual state fair will be sold throughout the summer.

The 1st WV Edition Basket is handmade and dipped in natural walnut dye from 100+ year old trees. The basket stands 14″ tall, about 12″ long, and 5″ wide. The thin frame of the basket is ideal for housing everyday items or household décor. The light dye of the wood gives a natural look, while ascents of WV blue and yellow are woven throughout.

A basket may be ordered by phone by 304-645-1090, in person at the fair office Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:00 pm, or during the fair. The cost of the basket is $50.00 and shipping is available for an additional $10.00. To view a photo of the basket and print, please visit www.facebook.com/statefairofwv.

The 1st WV Edition print was commissioned by Rose Dobbins from Organ Cave, West Virginia. Her other works have been featured in the Tamarack and the Artisans Gallery in downtown Lewisburg. 50 prints are signed and numbered, with only 20 of those are professionally framed. The print is also available in postcard and poster size. They may be purchased at the Merchandise Booth at the Fair or ordered after the fair-as long as supplies last.
