Format Announced for First Annual Blue Ribbon Golf Skills Challenge

LEWISBURG, WV (08/05/2009)(readMedia)– Riverview Golf Range and The State Fair of West Virginia are pleased to announce additional details about the First Annual Blue Ribbon Golf Skills Challenge, scheduled from 2 pm – 6 pm, Monday, August 10th, at the golf range in Caldwell, WV. A $50 tax deductible entry fee is required with 100% of the entry fee going to support the State Fair scholarship endowment.

Men, women and seniors will compete for over 15 different rounds of golf at courses through West Virginia and Virginia. The longest drive competition will be a stand alone event. Points will be accumulated in the closest to pin, flop shot over an obstacle, target shot and bunker shot to determine the top three places in each category. Additional rounds of golf have been added to the prize packages including Snowshoe’s Raven, Stonewall Resort, and Ashley Plantation and Hanging Rock in neighboring Virginia. Drawings for fair tickets, fair food, and more held throughout the event. Entry forms are available at www.statefairofwv.com and at the dring range.
