State Fair and Farm Family Insurance sponsor Unique Hay Bale Contest

LEWISBURG, WV (07/23/2009)(readMedia)– Two companies who have a long-standing focus on agriculture, have joined forces to sponsor the new “Farm Family Farm Art Contest.” According to Sharon Roebuck, Farm Family, general agent, “We approached the State Fair in early 2009 in hopes of doing a promotional partnership. After a few phone calls and a meeting, we created this contest and are really excited about it.”

Entrants in the contest will use round or square bales of hay or straw and farm related props, to create a display that celebrates the 2009 State Fair theme, “Farm Fresh Fun.” First prize is $300.

“It is excellent advertising for the State Fair,” said Manager, Marlene Pierson-Jolliffe. “We are also relying heavily on the Internet and digital photography in an effort to encourage entries from throughout West Virginia and Virginia. Additionally, Farm Family will be showcasing their line of insurance products at the 2009 State Fair.”

Details on the contest, including rules and entry procedures, can be found by visiting www.statefairofwv.com.
