Winners Announced for Smart529 State Fair Coloring Contest

 

LEWISBURG, WV (06/16/2010)(readMedia)– Winners for the 2010 Smart529 State Fair of West Virginia Creative Coloring Contest have been selected. Hundreds of entries were submitted from throughout West Virginia. The 2010 contest featured the fair’s “Genuine Homegrown Fun” theme with entries judged on the quality of the coloring and the creativity of the name of the Garden in the picture. First place winners receive $50, 4 State Fair gate admission tickets, and an Ipod nano. Winners are as follows:

Kindergarten

1st place -Mason Atkinson, Elview, WV

2nd place – Emma Daniels, Charleston, WV

3rd place – Caroline Shipley, Inwood, WV

First Grade

1st Place – Jody Lynn Mullens, Conrad, WV

2nd Place – Frankie Spring, Thornton, WV

3rd Place – Rachel Simon, Charleston, WV

Second Grade

1st Place – Samantha Cassidy, Kenova, WV

2nd Place – Emily Bryant, Scott Depot, WV

3rd Place – Virginia Cook, South Charleston, WV

Third Grade

1st Place – Zachary Waddell, Glen Morgan, WV

2nd Place – Makayla Gwinn, Hurricane, WV

3rd Place – Airianna Nettles, Ronceverte, WV
