The State Fair of West Virginia continues Christmas at the Fair, its Christmas Light Drive-Thru experience until Sunday, December 19, 2021. The show runs from 6 PM – 9 PM and is open Thursdays through Sundays to the public.
“We continue to be blown away by the support from the community for this event.,” State Fair CEO Kelly Collins stated. “We’ve enjoyed seeing several families return each night and are already looking forward to expanding it next year.”
Christmas at the Fair is available to the public for donations only and begins at the livestock gate on 219 North just past the horse barns. Patrons are asked to follow traffic patterns, and turn off headlights when driving through the show. Mobile donations are accepted via Paypal at https://bit.ly/3oj0sMi.

State Fair Announces 11th Annual Christmas Barn Decorating Contest
LEWISBURG, WV (10/26/2021)—
The State Fair of West Virginia is excited to announce its 11th Annual Christmas Barn Decorating Contest at the State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg. This year, non-profits, school-based, and other civic organizations will have the opportunity to decorate one of ten harness racing barns located adjacent to Route 219 North.
“This is always an exciting competition for us and it has become a great tradition for the community,” State Fair CEO Kelly Collins stated. “For 2021, we’ve changed our rules and regulations, as well as the judging format to improve our contest.”
Judged by a private panel of individuals from around the community, the winning entry will receive $300, with second and third place receiving $200 and $100 respectively. Only the east end of the barns will be decorated, and work must be completed by 5:00pm Sunday, November 21, 2021.

State Fair of WV Announces 2021 Concert Series
Officials at the State Fair of West Virginia are happy to announce the concert series for the 96th annual event set for August 12-21, 2021, featuring Nelly (8/12), Whiskey Myers with special guest the Steel Woods (8/13), for KING & COUNTRY with special guest Rebecca St. James (8/14), STYX (8/15), Tracy Lawrence and Tracy Byrd (8/19), Brantley Gilbert (8/20), and the Buckin’B Bull Ride (8/21).
Mac Powell & The Family Reunion and Shenandoah will play as free shows on August 16 and 17, respectively.
“We are extremely excited to announce the lineup for the 96th Annual State Fair of West Virginia,” State Fair CEO Kelly Collins stated. “It’s been a long two years since we’ve had our gates open, but we are more than ready to get back to business.”

Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department Second Annual Music Bash
The Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department is set to host its Second Annual Music Bash featuring Mark Wills with special guests Brandon Lay and Adair’s Run on Saturday, June 22, at 6 pm, at the State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg.

All proceeds for this event will go to help the Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department with operating costs and purchasing new equipment.
Mark Wills has captivated fans and listeners for over two decades. He achieved his first top-charting success at the young age of 23 and has maintained a longevity in the music business that many artists can only dream of. His mission is to crate country music filled with depth and meaningful substance to create lasting memories through the words.
Mark has released a total of seven albums including a patriotic album in 2001, Looking for America. As an avid supporter of the US Military, he has more than a dozen trips to entertain our troops in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Korea and Italy, among others.
Mark now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Kelly and his two daughters. Entries Open for 6th Annual American National, State Fair of WV Car Show
American National and its Family of Companies have teamed up with the State Fair of West Virginia to produce the sixth annual “State Fair Car Show.” The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 11th from 11 am to 4 pm during the 95th Annual State Fair.
The show will take place on the main fairgrounds. Pre-registration is recommended, and the first 100 entries will receive two gate admission tickets and a special sponsor gift.
The show is open to 1969 or older Custom Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Classic, Antiques, and Drag Cars. A limited number of 1970 to 1985 hot rods and muscle cars will be accepted. Award categories will include: People’s Choice, The Long Drive Award, Kid’s Choice, Best Paint Job, Sponsor’s Choice, Participant’s Pick and The Best of West Virginia Ribbon!

One Stop and Stop In Food Stores to Sell State Fair Tickets
The State Fair of West Virginia and One Stop and Stop In Food Store officials are happy to announce their partnership in selling advanced discounted tickets to the 2019 State Fair of West Virginia. Tickets will be on sale from now until August 6, in 60 locations in West Virginia and Virginia.
“We are excited to be a ticket outlet for the West Virginia State Fair for the second year,” says Larry Markham VP One Stop/Stop In Stores. “We had a very successful first year and look forward to having a successful partnership for years to come.”
